Our approach

The Capital District Arts Initiative is a community-driven movement dedicated to empowering the local arts scene and advocating for a more prominent role in the cultural fabric of the Capital Region. From youth education and community development projects to strengthening the professional creative community, our mission is to unite artists across disciplines and foster collaboration. As we deepen our connection to the region, we remain inspired to support fellow artists, promote education, and spark creative action.

Much more than just entertainment

Arts education offers the next generation of artists a safe space to explore their creativity, with collaboration as a core principle. Beyond entertainment, the community gains immeasurable benefits from artistic expression. The Capital Region is home to talented artists who have made their mark around the world, and we aspire to contribute to the continued growth of the local professional arts community.

A home for everyone

No matter your level of skill, commitment, age, circumstance, or aspirations, The CDAI is always looking for ways to facilitate any pathway towards your creative ambitions.
